“The Secret Number” Online!
My senior film The Secret Number has been in the works for nearly two years. And now it’s finally online!
Lemme know what you think. We’ve got a Visual Effects Breakdown, Behind the Scenes, and Previs Comparison Reel up on YouTube as well.
And check out the official site! http://secretnumber.colinlevy.com

Sure looked great but I didn’t really understand it… it seemed almost like a trailer, as they lead to some resolve much greater.
The numbers 3 and 4 seemed pretty common, with a bleem in between but not sure what that is, what happened with the time travel and the unlimited beans???
Hey Colin, I´m following your work for years, amazing to see your progress, you have a great future.
Congratulations!!
I came across your film via an io9 article that was posted today, and I really enjoyed it. One of the best student films I’ve seen, and I’m glad to see SCAD’s name outside of the regular channels.
Great work again following your blog and website for years, see great progress. Real nice shots the footstep in the rain is a nice one, also your own favorite has indeed a great composition. I saw it now three times, the story is still interesting but for some reason i can not figure out the clou yet… I hope i will not end in room with all these formulas at the wall…
Literally blown away. Well acted, well directed, beautiful photography. If I had to be super picky, some dark edges on the professor hair when in front of the window. But seriously, that’s nit picking. I’ve seen feature films waaay worse than this short. Congrats. *ehm* For whatever reason I got the story the first time… Am I a weirdo?
Unbelievably good. Very well done, sir. Love the room number by the way. Nice touch.
The doctor as a boy and car accident were impressive touches to the story. You will go far.
Very well done! I’ve watched Sintel and it was great, now The Secret Number is another wonderful surprise, I see why Pixar got impressed
Read the short story, and I can tell your film adds a bunch of good ideas (I agree with Tokyo James, as the room number captures the viewer’s attention and the flashbacks of young doctor explain more of Ershein’s “future”). I translated the subtitles into italian language, so many more people can enjoy your work, drop me a line if you wish and I’ll get them to you in a snap.
PS: the Escher’s Ascending & Descending into the doctor’s place is genius!

Just got around to watching ‘The Secret Number’. Stupendously directed, great cast and music. It was confusing at first, but after a couple more viewings everything made sense.
You have one heck of a future ahead of you, all the best!
Just awesome! Realy nice work!
I just watched Sintel and I found it so great. I’m gonna watch this one too, now. I’d like to do good works like these, thank you for inspiration!
