For me, the concept was that basically other things (goods and foodstuffs) were slipping through the water, but the quarter actually made ripples.  However, I don&#039;t know if the visuals were strong enough, and catching the quarter makes a lot of sense.</description>

Something wich fall into water (tomber à l&#039;eau) means it didn&#039;t go through (at least for french speaking people).</description>
