A little about Me
My name is Colin Levy. I am 21 years old, and I'm really passionate about my work. I am currently working in Amsterdam on the next Blender Open Movie "Durian". I am taking a year off my studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I am studying both film and animation.
A little more
I became interested in photography when I was in 5th grade. I discovered iMovie in 7th grade, and made my first short films when I was thirteen.
Shortly thereafter I discovered After Effects and a huge world of possibilities opened up for me. By 10th grade I was immersed in 3D. The sky was the limit.
Since then I've become more and more excited by and invested in my film work, and am really beginning to take my career seriously. I have high aspirations, and I hope to direct a feature in the near future!

Animation
Currently a 3D generalist, with an interest in character animation. I've gained a relatively thorough understanding of modeling, shading, lighting, rigging and rendering. I am currently exploring animation with stock rigs and a few original characters, and have done limited experimentation with traditional animation as well.
Visual Effects
Advanced knowledge of the concepts and techniques involved in compositing. Technically proficient with keying, rotoscoping, matchmoving, and compositing with render layers/passes. Extremely comfortable with After Effects. Intermediate knowledge of particle systems and raytracing.
Editing
I have been editing my own film projects since I was in middle school, and I have witnessed myself improve drastically. I have developed a sense for storytelling and visual communication; I am constantly reexamining my filmmaking and editing sensibilities. I have become familiar with various production workflows and the more technical side of the craft.
In addition to editing, I have gained a certain amount of experience with color correction and title design.
